Rikku was in the kitchen, whipping up some sandwiches to pack away for lunch. She was feeling like a trip to the garden, just to enjoy the fantastic weather they'd been having recently, so she decided to have lunch out there. After searching the refrigerator, the young Al Bhed found everything she needed to make egg salad sandwiches. Finishing those, she put them into a basket and went back to the frige to grab a few drinks. She had made enough to for a few people to eat, in case anyone wanted to join her.
Heading out of the kitchen, Rikku headed outside.
He nodded slightly, thoughtfully. "I'm lucky, I suppose, in that I have people I'm familiar with here as well... though there are still people back home that I miss, of course. No family, though... not really."
"I can honestly say that I do." He responded, returning the grin with a slight one of his own. He shook his head with a small laugh. "Well, your world certainly sounds like an interesting place..."
"Share some of that luck with me?" Rikku asked, frowning lightly and leaning back, arms holding her up as she looked at the sky. "Aside from my roommate, I've got no one."
"Well, thanks," the blonde beamed. Then she let her face relax as she took in the sun. "Yeah, it's interesting. We still had fiends running around when I left and Yunie was having problems with finding her kinda-sorta-not really real boyfriend, then everything with Vegnagun...Interesting, but I don't think that was the best time for me to leave."
"If I could, I certainly would." Was the sympathetic response, sighing slightly as he shifted and leaned back against the tree, watching Rikku idly.
"... as I said. Interesting." Fiends, huh...? He wasn't sure he wanted to know... "I can't say that I left at the best time, either... I just hope things haven't gone to hell with us gone." Another faint frown, before he shrugged with a deep sigh. "Not that there's much we can do about it from here..."
"I guess I can only keep hoping that someone from my world comes here," Rikku sighed. "Heck, Leblanc would be a welcome face at this point and we usually hate each other."
"No point in worrying about it, then, I guess," she sighed. "If we can't do anything, we'll just run ourselves down thinking about what might be happening at home." Still, she wanted to know so badly how everyone was doing. Had Yuna found Tidus? Had Gippal and the other leaders stopped the fighting on their world? There was so much she worried about.
